Because news headlines change constantly, this app dynamically pulls live data from the internet. If your screen goes offline, this specific scene will display a connection error, but the rest of your cached media will continue to loop normally.

Configuration Options

When you add the TOI News app to your timeline, you can deeply customize the news feed to match your audience’s interests or location.

1. Category You can select from three distinct groupings of news feeds:

   • Main Feeds: Broad topics like Top Stories, Business, Tech, Sports, and Bollywood/Entertainment.
   • Cities: Hyper-local news for specific Indian cities (e.g., Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune).
   • World Regions: Regional news tailored to specific areas (e.g., South Asia, Middle East, Europe).

2. Theme Choose between the classic Red (TOI) theme for strong brand recognition, or a clean, minimalist White theme.

3. Headline Duration The app pulls multiple headlines from the live RSS feed. Set exactly how many seconds (between 5 and 60) each individual headline should remain on the screen before transitioning to the next one.

4. Transition Speed Choose how smoothly the app blends from one headline to the next. You can select Instant, Slow, Medium, or Fast crossfades.
