Image App

The Image App is the simplest and most common way to display static content on your screens. It is perfect for displaying promotional flyers, menu boards, or company announcements.

Requires Active Internet: No

Images are cached locally. Once downloaded, they will continue to play flawlessly even if the screen loses internet connectivity.

Configuration Options

When you add the Image app to your playlist timeline and click on it, you will see the configuration dialog.

1. Select an Image To choose what displays on the screen, click the Browse Library button in the preview window. This will open your Media Library, where you can select an existing image or upload a new one directly from your computer.

2. Image Fit Because screens come in many different shapes and sizes, you need to tell Yugna how to handle images that don’t perfectly match the screen’s aspect ratio.

   • Fit and Center Image: The entire image will be scaled down until it fits completely inside the screen. If the image is a different shape than the TV, this will result in “letterboxing” (empty space on the sides or top/bottom).
   • Scale Image to Fill Frame: The image will be expanded until it completely covers the entire screen, leaving no empty space. Note: If the image is a different shape than the TV, some edges of the image will be cropped out.

3. Background Color If you select “Fit and Center” and your image leaves empty space on the screen, you can use the Background Color picker to choose exactly what color fills that empty space. This is excellent for seamlessly blending a logo with a solid background into the rest of the screen.
